Horizon Left

ABOUT

Through film and animation, I explore the juxtaposition between control and chance. Themes of vulnerability, transformation, conception, growth, and the dynamic between chaos and order are present throughout my work. A combination of raw materials, captured through stop motion animation produces the handmade, surreal atmosphere I envision.

"Jacob seems to find inspiration and purpose at that point when a medium – or combination of media – starts to break down, fall into itself. His videos pit live-action performers against dada art direction and eccentric animated forms; his drawings and installations bring to mind both mythology and urbanism; ritual and trash." ~ Howie Shia, animator
